I am sailing on the Carnival Spirit in March out of San Diego. I am from North Dakota and on my past three sailings I didn't purchase any trip insurance and it worked out fine. My concern is being snowed in by a blizzard and missing half or most of the cruise. I did purchase the airfare from Carnival....does that protect me?
Technically, If I misssed the flight because of weather Carnval would not be obligated to fly me to the first stop. Is my understanding correct?
Nope, read the RC thread about that. They are not responsible at all, buy the insurance! Best to get a third party insurance, we buy AAA's as we book through them.
Ask your travel agent what they recommend.
