Default shore excursion in Acapulco

We are sailing on the Carnival Sprtit on Feb 13th. One of the shore excursions we are interested in is the Acapulco Beach Break at the Parador del Sol. Does anyone know the cost and has anyone had any experience or opinions on this excursion.

I have not been to that port and really know nothing first hand but I did call a friend, (shades of the gameshow Millionaire), and she tells me that the Cliff Divers are the #1 tour and especially if you take the night tour as it is spectacular. She also highly recommends the city tour and the cultural tour whatever they are. <G> As she is a professional and has done this for 20 years plus now, since she was 18, I trust her judgement.

PO,

Like I said on the Mexico board, I have not heard good things about the water quality in Acapulco .. I would be more prone to do a beach day in Ixtapa or Zijuatenejo on Los Gatos Beach.

Like Jim said, the cliff divers came highly recommended (it was the most popular tour when we were there), and we did the Cultural Tour, which gave you some wonderful opportunities for sight-seeing.

Harry & Jim:
Thank you to the both of you for the information. I posted a couple more questions under Shore Excursion in Acupulco on the Destinations site, and I'd appreciate any information you, or anyone else out there, could provide.
