Parking in Galveston, Texas

Do you guys have any information on the best places to park while cruising out of Galveston? We're leaving 4/2/05 to return 4/9/05. We're recent transplants to Austin and don't yet know the ins-and-outs of this popular Texas departure point.

I recently dropped my parents off at the piers (drove from North Houston/Conroe). As we drove in, they had plenty of parking areas leading up to the terminals. Sorry, I don't know the exact rates they were charging, but you can probably contact the Galveston Island Visitor and Convention Center at www.Galveston.com and they should be able to provide better info. Depending on when you depart, you may also be able to leave your car at a hotel if you stay before and after. Happy Cruising!!

I agree that EZ Cruise Parking in Galveston was the best. We used them in December and they charged $45 for our 10 day cruise; best to make reservations so you'll be assured a spot since their lot isn't very big. They loaded our luggage in their van and took us to the pier which is only a couple of blocks from their lot and were there to pick us up upon our return.
