December cruise ages

Dh and I just booked a cruise for December. We picked that month because we want to sail on our wedding anniversary. I've cruised before, but, never in December. Anyone have any idea what age ranges of people will likely be on ship with us? We're sailing on Carnival.

We honeymooned in Orlando and found it a great time to be there; less crowds, fewer little kids. That's another reason we picked December for our cruise.

It's been 3+ years since my last cruise. When I searched for cruise sites and this came up, I remembered the great people and attitudes. From the little reading I've had time to do, looks like my memory served me well! Great to be back!

If you booked during the last week of December expect lots of kids. Its a school vacation week (week between Christmas and New Years).

Darcy is correct. If you booked your cruise during the schools holiday break there will be tons of familes with kids onboard. Otherwise you will get a nice mix of all ages

I am booking RCI Sovereign of the Seas in December 23-27 for my husband's BDay.
I am thinking though...I was told it is fully renovated a month ago or so.
What do you think? What is the best room location mid-price?

I always cruise in December because of the great prices, but I only go the first or second week of December, never Xmas week.

I always found that the first two weeks of December you do not have many kids and the age group can be from the 30's and up. I cruise RCL and Celebrity.

Keep in mind the longer the cruise, the older the crowd.

If you are doing the Caribbean, you will have wonderful weather. We always have and we've been cruising December for about four years now.

We're sailing on Carnival Conquest on Dec 3. Dh is a young 62. I've sailed on Carnival in the past in March and didn't have a problem finding a quiet space when I wanted it, noise when I wanted it. I was hoping December would be the same way.

I've done 6 cruises in the past and this will be my first in the Western Caribbean - we're both looking forward to it!

We're planning to go down a day early since we got married in a blizzard in Dec '03 and our flight to Orlando was messed up. One thing to lose a day in a condo, another thing to mess up a cruise......
