Default Cabin Upgrades

Hi there,

We are booked on the Grand Princess for Feb 19, in an outside cabin as all the balcony's are sold out. Does anyone know any tricks into getting a balcony cabin? I don't mind paying for it. I'm hoping that someone will maybe cancel their balcony room closer to the date?

Any help or tips would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Make sure that the TA noted that you want an upgrade. You should check online everytime you are on the computer. Yahoo travel lets you see what rooms are available withoout too much work. There is a very good chance your room choice will open up. It may only open for a short time so check oftena dn be ready to call your TA.

I have also heard that the cruise lines bump people up on cruise day. Hopefully a balcony guest will bump to a suite and you will get what you want.

Good luck and best wishes,
Julie

Also ask when you get to the port and ask if they have any upgrades available to a Balcony. We had friends who did that and upgrades from a balony to suite for about $300.00 more.

Have your TA put you on the waiting list with Princess. We have done that several times and it worked.
Otherwise try at the dock as the previous poster commented. Sometimes you might have to ask about the upgrade at the puser desk or concierge.

Also wanted to mention when you ask to have your name on the wait list and willing to put some $$ down you go higher on the list. This shows you are serious.
