Default After Cruise Swaying

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of that "after the cruise" swaying/dizziness? I've had it after each trip, and I was just curious if there was anything that could help it. I am going on another one in the summer and would like some advice.

AFAIK it is just something that you have to wait out. I have heard that the same stuff they use for seasickness works when you are getting your land legs back. Try Bonine and see if it helps.

I have found the best cure is to get back on a ship!

its just your body getting used to being on land again. It usually lasts for only a couple of days for most people, if it is really bothering you try seasicknes remedies.

I sort of enjoy it. But then again I live in the SF Bay area and am used to earthquakes.

I was actually a little disappointed when I didn't get it after this cruise.

Cheers,

My son and I had it BAD after our January cruise (strangely didn't get it at all in September) and Bonine did the trick.

I can never tell the difference, because I'm always swaying when I walk. <G> Just close your eyes and pretend that you're still on the ship. It's like a mini vacation.

I was actually surprised I haven't seen more posts on this subject. I had it pretty bad after our cruise in January too. It lasted 2-3 days. I think it might been worse just because our last night at sea was pretty rough. there were lots of seasick folks that night. I am just thankful I wasn't one of them. I had the same problem once after taking a train trip that took several days. I felt as though I was still on the train for a day or two after getting off. It seemed to be worse when I would bend over or lay down. I think it just takes your body's equilibrium to adjust. I kept finding myself holding on to things and going woah! for a while. !

My older daughter and I have noticed it but it wasn't anything serious. We didn't have any bad weather though.

I agree with Beenie Weenie.....I get that too, whether off a good rail journey
or off a ship.....I love it....sort of my way of not letting go of a splendid
experience which unfortunately come to an end....
I don't find it irritating or annoying; I also found it hits you mostly
in bed, when you wake up and still " shakes " like in your sleeper or
" sway " as if still in your berth on the ship.

Happy " memories"
