Default obstructed views?

I have just booked a room with a ocean view cabin guarantee! Is there a chance my room could be obstructed and if so how can i prevent that?

Yes you could get an obstructed view. When you book a GTY that only means that the cruiseline can place you in any cabin that is at or above the level you booked. The only way to be sure that this does not occur is to book a specific cabin or at a cat level above the obstructed views..

Check the website for Carnivale - they have deck plans - #7158 is a balcony on the Verandah Deck, and it is toward the front of the ship, but there are about 19 rooms between you and the front.

I don't think it is obstructed, and I don't THINK there is such a thing as an obstructed balcony room. jlk

Toddie! You are going to LOVE that cabin! It has an extended balcony. While it is the one most forward so one side will basically be a solid wall instead of someone elses balcony you will have a good deal of privacy and the baclony is huge! I'm betting you will spend some time out there. It is also not obstructed. The balconies are not obstructed at all with the possible exception of those on deck 5 which would look down on the lifeboats. They are not considered an obstructed view however.
