Default Staterooms for Family of Six

Has anyone booked a suite for a family of six or more before? Do you usually pay less or more money than booking two small rooms? Which cruise lines offer these suites? Thanks for your help!

I always price it both ways and every time have found its cheaper to book two inside cabins side by side or across the hall from each other.

I know the Royal Caribbean's Voyager class has some nice family suites, so check into those deck plans.

Princess also has family suites. The only disavantage of the family suites is that they have one bathroom. Booking two cabins might be the way to go.
