Could you tell us if the ocean view cabins on the Monarch of the Seas have a safe. Also, do they supply beach towels, do they have a fridge in the cabin and what drinks are available free of charge.
Can anyone recommend a decent reasonable hotel near LAX that would provide complimentary airport shuttle service.
We are booked for the 4 day Baha Mexico cruise on May 2, 2005 and would appreciate any tips including recommended excursions etc.
Thanks
Hi Marie, more info on teh Mexico board, but to answer on the cabin -- no safe or fridge in the cabin, and towels by the pool deck, if I recall. Free drinks are juices in the morning, and tea and lemonade in the afternoon.
Check out Hotwire for the hotels ... I've always been happy with what I got there.

hi. we are also booked on this cruise , BUT , in July. I would like to know about the safes myself. maybe you could save this address , and let me know of your experiences. We sailed with RCCL in Sept. on the Majesty. no safes, but a nice cruise , great room service food ,and, we felt a nice second choice. [we are huge Princess cruise line fans] ,but enjoy yhe different itineraries of RCCL.
safe, happy sailing to you

Thanks for the info everyone.
Could anyone tell me if there is only 1 formal night on the 4 day cruise. Do the men wear tuxes? What are the dining options other than the dining room.
Marie, only one formal night ... the 4-nighter is a little more casual, so I've often opted for a sport coat with a tie. The alternate is the Windjammer buffet, but I think you will be missing a lot if you skip formal night.

My brother-in-law & wife just got back Fri from this cruise. They loved it, & had a great time. Said the food was really good. It was his first cruise. He said it wasn't anything like the Navy ships!! Have fun!!
