Default Transatlantic to New York - any recommendations?

I am very interested in trying to find a cruiseship which would need to do a seasonal itinerary change (say from Med to Caribbean) in December time.

I ahve heard that you can often pick up a good deal when these ships are changing their itneraries.

My husband will be 50 this Decembe and it would be wonderful to do a cruise say out of Southampton to New York and then stay in New York for a few days before flying back home.

Do you have any recommendations on how I could find out which ships may be changing their itineraries that time of year. Any good websites to look at etc.

Any suggestions greatly received.

Many thanks and regards,

I don't think you will find any Southhampton (London) to New York cruises in December. The North Atlantic is quite rough and cold that time of year.

Most of the repositioning cruises from east to west will happen in the fall of 05.

Princess, Royal Caribbean, NCL, Cunard, Seabourn all have London to New York, Trans Atlantic cruises from August thru November. Most of Cunard cruises on the Queen Mary 2 are the regular Trans Atlantics and the other cruises are repositioning cruises.

I would take a look at the cruise lines websites to get an idea of which Trans Atlantic cruises are available.

Take care,
