Default Transatlantic Cruising/Oct and Nov

I am booked on Legend of the Seas on April 10th - Ft Lauderdale to Lisbon. Any information on weather - temperatures to expect - and whether to prepare for motion sickness...
Thinking of taking the Brilliance- Barcelona to Miami on Nov 11th with my sister/brotherinlaw. Any comment on a "family oceanview cabin (8502) relative to space for 3 or maximum 4 people and likely weather. Is a cabin on the 8th deck in the front a bad idea when travelling the South Atlantic- ie too much motion.
