Default corkscrew- wine opener

Can I bring a wine opener on board with me?
Should I put in carryon or should I put it in my checked bag? Wil they tear my bag up trying to get to it?
Would the cabin steward have a corkscrew?
I am going on Carnival paradise

Put it in your checked baggage. You should not have any problems.

hi tia

yes, make sure it is in your checked luggage. i forgot mine the last cruise and the cabin steward will be able to help you out. if you have your own just make sure it goes back in your checked luggage when you leave. there is no sense in getting held up at the airport if they consider it a '' lethal weapon'' .. things are much tighter now since 911.

You could always do what someone else on the board does.......they carry boxed wine. No worries about openers, no worries about it breaking.........I'm going to try that and what's left over (if any) will just stay in the room.
