Hi JM,
No, you won't need any adapters, everything should work fine.

Be sure to bring a power strip/extension cord. There is only one outlet in the cabin.

Yeah, that's the kind they have..........except in bathroom where you will find only the outlet for an electric shaver which will not have a three prong plug.

your cabin will have an outlet in the bathroom that is non-polarized-( basically worthless) Polarized plugs are the plugs that have two prongs and one is fatter than the other one.
the other outlet is usually on the wall that is a standard polarized outlet. They are all 2-prong outlets

Hi Lisa,

Just to confirm, the 1 plug will be a two pronged (one side larger) size. Is this for the HAL Zuiderdam cabins as well?

Also, do you know if you could borrow an iron for clothing or do you have to send everything out? I think I heard they don't have self-serve laundromats on board this ship.

Thank you for your help.

Dani

Danielle, i don't know about the Zuiderdam personally, i have encountered it on Carnival, RCCL and Princess.
If they do not have self-service laundry then they will not have irons, you can send your clothes out to be ironed for a fee or you can use that wrinkle reducer spray, or do what i do, turn the shower on full hot, hang up your clothes, shut the door - and let the steam take out the wrinkles. Unpacking right away also helps elminiate some wrinkles.

Thanks Lisa, I do plan to bring the wrinkle and static guard and will use the hot shower.

Just be careful what outlet you use. Have a friend that plugged her curling iron in the wrong outlet on Carnival Pride & it fried her hair!! It wasn't her first cruise, either.
