traveling with herbs and vitamins

I hope this post gets answered tonight. Im cruising tomorrow. When traveling with herbs and vitamin supplements, does everything have to be in the packages with the labes on? This is too much stuff to pack in large bottles so I was wondering what the deal is.

Hi Showcat,
I just put all my vitamins in the smaller bottle and add my calcium to that, so at least one is marked thats its vitamins and I put them in my carry-on, never had a problem.

Mostly only a problem with border crossings and international flights. Just put them in your checked luggage, in whatever bottle you wish. However if you are going to use your carry on luggage you may want to consider putting extra in the checked luggage incase your carry on vitamins get confiscated.

i have taken our supplements/rx many times, put em in a toiletry case, or whatever, made sure rx had labels, but no problem so far with supplements, etc. have put em in suitcase, have carried em on inside carryon, put em in camera case, no problems so far.
