Next month we will be sailing on a 13 day Caribbean cruise. Is there a dollar limit on purchases we can bring back to the states without paying extra fees? Is it a limit per island, or just a total limit? Two of our ports will be St. Thomas and Puerto Rico. Are there different, separate allowances for those islands, considering their special relationship to the U.S.?
Is there a govenment web site that could give me complete information on this? (for instance, I think I've heard that there is no duty on artwork).
Re: Re: What is the duty-free allowance from Caribbean?
Thank you so much! It's really confusing because the rules seem to be different for different islands. I knew there must be an official web site, but didn't know where to begin. I even tried to "google" it, but probably didn't word it properly.
These message boards can really be helpful! Thanks again.
