Default Something like snorkeling???

My niece was telling me about something new, but I can't remember the name of it. She said that you go on the ocean bottom on this kind of motorcycle thing and there is a bubble thing on the top of it to provide a small air supply. That way you can see stuff, but you don't have to have your head in the water. I don't swim well, so I'm a little worried about snorkeling, but this sounded really cool. Has anyone heard about this and what is the name of it?

Thanks!

Adrian

It sounds like the Sea Trek Helmet Dive. We did it in Cozumel last year and had a great time. You can do a google search and see what it is like. Just type in Sea Trek Helmet Dive.

Actually it sounds exactly like "BOB" which we did in St. Thomas. You ride this, almost like bike where you steer and you have an air bubble over your head. Its really neat and something worth doing. It did take a little time to get used to it, everything appeared much closer than it actually was, great excursion. Just a note, this does fill up quickly, so I'd recommend pre-booking it on-line with the cruiseline.

It sounds fabulous - especially for someone like me who doesn't swim well. I didn't see this on the Excursion Listing for my cruise. We're traveling NCL to the Mexican Rivera - do you know if they offer this or is this something we could book on our own?

Thanks!

We did the Sea Trek Helmet Dive in Cozumel at Chankanaab Park. I booked it through the ship, but you can book it yourself on line at about half the cost at cozumelinsider.com. We didn't find out about it until we were on the ship when my husband picked up a brochure.

I believe Bob is only available in St. Thomas and Key West....at some time, that could change, but you won't find it in those ports, sorry.
