Default HELP! wannabe first timer overwhelmed by choices

My husband and I would love to take our first cruise, but we are soooooo overwhelmed by all of the choices! I have spent hours/days looking at reviews and message board comments (your website is wonderful by the way), but I still don't feel any closer to making a final decision. At this rate, we'll never be cruising! Please help us make up our minds

-Caribbean destination
-intimate, romantic, laid back atmosphere
-good food and service
-would like table for two dining
-nice cabin with private balcony, would love a wirlpool tub
-any with adults only? we are age 29 and 30 and love kids, we just don't want swarms of them around on our vacation
-price range 1000-1500 pp

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I would look at Princess or Celebrity. Don't go during the summer, over Thanksgiving or Christmas, or from February thorugh April if you want to avoid a lot of kids.

What about Windjammer-arent they pretty laid back ? Sorry dont know much about them. For a personal hot tub youre probably going to need a suite which is a lot ($$ and space) for just 2 people. On Holland America docked next to us, one of the suites had a wood floor balcony with a small hot tub on it. Looked pretty nice!

Figure out first, what Port City you want to leave from...then, pick itinerary....then go with price range that fits your budget....and before making final decision, read ALL the reviews for that ship you can get your hands on

Expedia.com is easy to navigate, will put the cruises in port city, then sort by price or cruiseline, and lets you compare several on a page
