Do many people take video cameras or is it too bulky to deal with ??

Any suggestions ????

I always take mine. It's small and doesn't take much room at all. Great memories to have forever!

I take mine, but usually end up using the digital camera more. Cameras are so small these days its not a burden to bring them along. You might want to bring a power strip (has several plug-ins) to recharge stuff since on most ships theres only one outlet.

Happy where are you going? My digital, as with most is also a movie camera. Very small, and the sound is not bad either.

I always take mine but I don't tote it everywhere with me. I'll usually get up early one morning and go take video of the ship for an hour then take it back to the cabin.

In port I will do the same thing. Shoot footage of the town and then take it back to the ship.

Regards,
Thomas

Anyone have any hints on the camcorder fogging up?? It takes a long time to get the fog gone to be able to record. Thanks, KMBB

Default Video Cameras

The Foggin' problem...............
The problem is the difference in temperature between
your cabin, ( cold, dry ), and the outside ( warm, moist ).
The fix is to place the camera in a zip lock baggie when you
leave the cabin. Allow the camera, In the baggie, to warm up
outside before removing the baggie. It shouldn't take but about
5-10 minutes out in the sun. Once the camera is the same temperature
as the air, no more fogging. Just remember to find a baggie
large enough to fit your camera before you leave home.

Another one that Ive used (and read about somewhere long ago)-take those little packets of silicone that come with new electronics and sometimes in pill bottles and stick it in your bag along with the camera. I believe the silicone helps absorb moisture.
