Do I understand correctly that there is basically nothing on board that you need cash for. You just charge it to your room. then pay cash at the end or give your credit card number at the beginning and no worries. do they give receipts when you do that so you van keep a tally.
You need cash to tip for room service and although you can get cash from the casino (they put it on your sail and sign card), there is a small charge (2% I think).
We always take tip money and casino money, tips for porters, cash for some port things (cabs, tips, etc.)

Yes, they give you a receipt for everything you put on your cabin charge. You have to sign a slip. They will give you a statement the night before your last day so you can go over it and have time to have any errors fixed. Make sure everyone on YOUR charge saves their receipts too.
danielle b , bingo cards, casino & tipping the room service a couple of bucks. You may want to tip "extra" so cash will be needed for this. You can use your card in the casino, but we opt for cash since we are not serious gamblers.
We pay the basic tips on our card & tip cash for those that go over & beyond.....no problem.
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Just a note - if you are going to use cash to pay off your sign and sail card, you will have to put down a deposit at the start of the cruise - when you get close to using it up, the purser's office will call you to put more cash down. If there is cash left over, you will get the money back in the form of a check that will be delivered to your stateroom on the final morning.
