Okay, not entirely! Just maybe the LAST port. For example, say the cruise dumps us off at Le Havre (Paris), the last port before our final destination at Southhampton, England. Is there any penalty or anything negative catalyst if we decided we wanted to stay in Paris and catch a train back to Paris on our own in a week or two? Could I get away with hauling off all my luggage at the port? Is this even advisable to hang back at a port while the cruise heads off to the final destination? Would love to hear your input.
You should be okay but double-check with the Cruiseline and make sure they are aware and agree with it. Now if this was within the USA you might have a problem but this cruise 'should' be okay to do this on.
Great! Now, what would we do about tipping if we didn't stay till the end of the cruise. Since, generally, tipping is done at the end could we arrange to tip early? Would I discount tips for less than 1 day since we didn't voyage that last leg back to our originating port?
