Hi,
After my cruis winds up in Venice, I'm spending a few days in Tuscany before flying out of Rome. On my last full day I'll be traveling from Cortona to (stopping in Montepulciano and Orvieto) Rome where I will spend the last night, then I fly from FCO at 10am the next morning.
So my question is:
Do you think it would be a mistake to get a hotel right in Rome on this last night for one last look at the city before getting up early and driving to the airport (where I'll drop off my rental).
OR
Would I be better off just to get a hotel near FCO?
I'm not sure how difficult it woudl be to find parking in Rome on the last night, or how much time I would need to leave myself to get from the city to the airport early in the morning. Do you think it's just too much?
I realize there's no hard and fast answers, but your opinions are welcome!
Thanks
