Can you please tell me if there is anything an overweight person should be aware of when cruising on the Sapphire Princess. There are no mobility issues, but what about things like chairs - deck, theater, casino, restaurant - bathrooms in a mini suite - massages - tenders to go on an excursion, etc.

Re: new and overweight
I am overweight like you and have always enjoyed the massages, the pools, etc. Really only do miss the helicopter rides (refuse to pay double - my fault, but my money also)....they do have some armless chairs in the dining room, all you have to do is ask your waiter (or they may notice and provide one for you without even asking. Minisuite, be aware that there is a big step up into the tub and an even bigger step down out of the tub as the tub in on a platform (believe me - been there and done that!) Since tables are usually bolted to the floor, try to avoid booths in the lounges whenever possible. Also, the Wheelhouse Bar and the Vista lounge have two person couches that are very comfortable for two "fluffy" people.

Hi, I am overweight too. I manage to do everything I want to do. I plan on going cave tubing this next cruise. Go and have the time of your life.

People that have a weight problem are really not anymore restricted onboard a ship than elsewhere. As one noted you cannot do Helo tours and a few others like horseback riding or parasailing etc might not be available to you. Now do understand that the shower in the cabins are rather small compared to your home or a hotel room but you should manage. Hopefully it is a problem that you may be able to work on and get some of the excess weight off of you simply for health reasons. Not only that but you will feel better and feel better about yourself as well, we all do. Best of luck to you.
Jim
As far as I have experienced, the bathrooms in Princess mini-suites are very good - double sinks side by side and a full tub behind you, plenty of room.

I do second what Paul said about the mini-suites. I am a big guy, 6'2" and was 250 lbs. when I sailed on Island Princess. The mini-suite bathroom was great. You do have a large step up over the tub that can be a problem for some folks. I stumbled on a couple of occasions but I stumble on flat ground.
I don't think you will have too much of a problem other than having to be dragged off the ship at the end of the cruise because you won't want to leave. <VBG>
Have a great cruise!

My husband is 6'4" and weighs about 375 and he has no problem in the showers of the regular balcony cabins. As a previous poster said jus task for the armless chairs at dinner and everything will work out. Other than that he has no mobility problems.
I am overweight too (altho I had gastric by-pass surgery 2 weeks ago today) and have never had a problem on any of the ships I have been on. We will be on the Sapphire Princess in October and this will be our 5th Princess Cruise. We have also sailed on Carnival and RCC. No problems there either - go and enjoy!!
