Parking in San Francisco is ridiculously expensive! When we fly out of SFO, I use parksleepfly.com to find a hotel near the airport. It gives free parking and shuttle to/from the airport. But that wouldn't really be convenient for a cruise. I don't know where you live or what day of the week you're traveling, but taking BART or a train in might work. If a weekend or off-peak time of day, schlepping luggage on them would be doable. And there IS BART now from SFO, so maybe you could spend the night before there and get free parking. Good luck. I'll be interested if you get any other advice.

I know nothing about this company but it sounds worthwhile to check out. Good luck.

We live in the Bay Area and agree with clo that parking at the port is ridiculously expensive. Also know from my son-in-law (who is SFPD) that parking near the port isn't very safe. Where are you driving from into San Francisco? Maybe I can come up with other suggestions besides those offered by clo.

Out of curiosity, I checked the parksleepfly (or cruise) website. They show a La Quinto hotel, up to 14 days free parking and shuttle to the SF port for $115. What a great deal! We've used them a lot when we're flying someplace. It's good to know they offer cruise services also.
