Sailing next Saturday out of Houston to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Cancun. What can we expect weather wise in each destination? Will we be able to enjoy our shore excursions or are we going to get rained/thunderstormed out? Thanks for answering
Being a resident of Florida, we never try to plan anything around the weather. We makes our plans and takes our chances. If it works, great. Plan your shore excursions and if they cancel, oh well. Things could be alot worse. You could be at home or at work. You never know about tropical weather. YOu can always go to weather.com and get the 5-10 day forecast if you must know. You go on a cruise to forget your worries and the weather is something you can do nothing about. ENJOY!
cfariss.........that's true about the weather. 2 years ago we arrived in Tampa to thunderstorms and sailed away on the Inspiration the next day (mid-June). We had a brief shower the first night and then hot, but overcast weather the rest of the cruise. In Grand Cayman, it rained on the stingray excursions, but not in town. In Cozumel, we had a less than 5 minute sprinkle. In Belize, rain was forcast, but didn't happen. When we returned to Tampa, it was pouring! It had rained pretty much non-stop the whole week in Florida. Oh well, off to WDW....................rented a car and started our drive. Rained all the way until we pulled into the Coronado Springs resort! I kid you not. No rain the entire week, until Friday night. In fact, it wasn't even that humid. The local news commented on how nice it felt since the humidity was so low! Fast forward to Sunday. Drove back to Tampa to fly home. Met people who had just returned from their Inspiration cruise.............rained the whole week on them! You just never know.
