Default They LOWERED the price

I have been on 5 cruises and the price has always been lowest when I booked far in advance. I have a cruise booked for August and I see on the website that they have LOWERED the price by $100.00. for my cabin category. I have never had this happen before. Can I ask that they refund the difference?

Of course you can ask.

And if you haven't made final payment yet, the answer should be yes. Even if you have paid, you can still ask. They don't have to do it, but as a matter of good faith they should, and often do.

did you find the lower price on the cruise line site. this is when whoever you got your booking through will give a refund or shipboard credit. it never hurts to call and ask them. $100 can buy alot of foo-foo drinks on the cruise or a great tour. good luck.

I would also suggest that you are comparing apples to apples. Make sure the port and taxes are accounted for in each price.

as long as its not a promotional fare you should get it, just make sure it is exactly the same as what you have now, call and ask.

DH and I booked the Brilliance while on the Radiance to get the onboard credit. A month later the price had dropped by $100. Called my TA and got the reduction.

Same thing happened on the Radiance. After final payment found there was a Sr. citizen discount. Called TA and RCI refunded the difference to my credit card in less than 2 weeks.

So yes, ask for the reduction.

We paid for or cruise and then the price dropped on NCL.They refused to do anything! ( mind you they charged us $25 pp extra to book a mini suite guarantee than the next category mini suite. We were assigned our guarantee rooms 6 weeks in advance and placed into that same next category for $50 per room more than had we booked a specific room in that category) We tried and the travel agent, with a very large company tried. They said they couldn't do a thing. The price came down on Carnival last year . They moved us up to the highest category balcony room ( we had booked a balcony room to begin with) and then when we go to the port both couples were moved up to the Penthouse! I am disappointed witht he customer service at NCL.

I check Carnival's website from time to time, especially since I tend to book real early. they just dropped the price $38 per person. Not fabulous, but it will buy some drinks! My final payment is due in a couple of weeks, so I'll keep watching.

Glad you got your credit.
