We are are in the begining stages of plannning a 90th birthday/ group cruise- exploreing our options for a 3 day cruise and looking for advice. Are there any cruise lines that give group discounts or the best discounts. Are we better off with a travel agent or book through the line as we have been happy with in the past? Any questions we must/should ask?
Any suggestion are welcome.
We expect 15-20 people with 8-10 cabins needed age 12 to 90. Some have cruised many time others none at all.
get to a travel agent, have her handle everything, give the travel agent's name to everyone in your party, let her handle it directly, she could have access to block/group rates that you can't get on your own. If anyone has any questions or problems they call the TA and not you! that way you aren't trying to please everyone all the time and pulling your hair out at the same time ( been there, done that!)
Ruby, I highly recommend you use a Travel Agent to handle everything. To try and do this is really hard even for those that have done it before. Let the TA handle all the details and it will cost you nothing to have this done and the TA will most likely get you more for the money. Shop around for a TA that is reputable and that you trust. Sometimes you just have to use yoour gut feeling for the TA.
