Hi. I was wondering the rules about the teens being in the same group for activivies. I have a 12 year old almost 13 by the time of the cruise and a 15 year old. Are they allowed to be in the same group for activities? I know they will want to go to the disco together if allowed. Does anyone have any experiences with this subject. Thanks.
What cruiseline? On Carnival, especially during peak times, they are pretty strict with the age groups. The groups are 12-14 and 15-17. They sometimes allow the older sibling to move down a group but won't move a younger cruiser up. You will just have to check out the situation once on board. However, I do have experience with the 12-14 group and the counselors do a great job of keeping them busy; even in the evening. Although "camp" ends at 10pm, there are sometimes late night activities included (movie night, etc.). I'm sure your 12 year old will have a great time in that group and will make friends his/her age. Same with your 15 year old. And, remember, there will be times, outside of Camp Carnival and Club02 that they will be able to spend time together.
