Default Sunset Beach - Sign & Sail card

Hi,
I have read many reviews about Sunset Beach at Montego Bay. Sounds like a good deal and a fun experience. Several of the reviews state that they (Sunset Beach) take your Sign and Sail card upon entry. Strange things have been known to happen to me. What if they (Sunset Beach) misplace, lose or whatever your Sign and Sail card? I know, I worry too much. Sunset Beach seems like a very popular destination, but surrendering your Sign and Sail card - I don't know. What happens if the card is lost? Thanks

We have been to Sunset Beach this past March and loved it. I wasn't happy about giving up my card but, they are put in an envelope and taken to security and you pick them up as you leave. One woman on a group cruise we were on lost her card while on a excursion. When we got back to the ship she gave her name to security and they pulled up her picture at the station, cleared her and told her to see the purser for a replacement !

Great! That makes sense. I guess I won't worry about it. Thanks for the help.

Hi LisaK,

That's a good question. Seems like if you pay the $20 to get in, that should be enough. Seems strange to me that they would take the card, but I read many times that that is the procedure. It would be interesting to know why. Any of you Cruisemates Staff no why they take the card? Thanks

maybe that's how they track how many people from the ship actually go there (possible cruise line gets a kickback), or an easy way to identify a person if there is a problem (wait until everyone else claims their s&s card )..just a guess
