We have cruised in the Caribbean a number of times. We are thinking of cruising along the Mexico coast next January or February. Are the seas different "on that side" - i.e., does it rock and roll more than the Caribbean?
GB, the weather is fantastic in Mexico that time of year -- not humid, sunny and about 80 in Puerto Vallarta.
Having never sailed Caribbean, I cannot compare. All I can say is that last day at sea, going back, is the one day I need two Bonine because we are going against the current and fast. Otherwise, no problems
The one thing I do hear people say on the Mexico board is that the snorkeling by no means is as good as the Caribbean and the water not as clear (nor as warm)
Also, that time of year is great for whale watching. We saw plenty on our second day at sea outside Cabo.
