Default Geting a cabin

Hi guys,
We desperately want to go on an Alaskan cruise August 13 on the Radiance with friends who booked quite some time ago (when we weren't sure if we could get the time off). Now we know we can but it's almost sold out. Sometimes there appears to be one cabin left on travelocity and yet when I phone my travel agent and the cruiseline, they say it's sold out. Any ideas on how to get on a cruise like this without paying an exhorbitant price? Any tips are greatly appreciated,
Cheryl

I would assume that the cruise line knows best if there are any cabins available, and you've already contacted them.

Perhaps they could put you on a wait list for a cabin, although it's less likely that someone will cancel now that final payment was due.
