Default Holiday rates?

Do holiday rates typically go down in the fall as the holidays draw closer? I've been told by a TA that the rates tend to go up as we approach the holidays. I'm not sure if they are feeding me a line so that I book now as they say the time to book the best deals is now- summer. Any advise? Thank you

Holiday sailings usually sell out fast and in this case I don't think your TA is handing you a line. I've never heard of rates for holiday sailings drop as the cruise gets closer - you wait to book, there may be no cabins to be had.

We sailed Dec. 12-16, 2004 on the Fantasy and got a great rate. The following week for the 4 night cruise was about $175.00 pp higher. Christmas week was higher than that.

Holiday sailings tend to be higher than others and sell out quickly. If you need a holiday week I would definitely book it now.

Holiday salings just like school break sailings are high demand sailings, no deals to be found, if anything the rates will go up. Book it now

Holidays are the high season and therefore higher rates for the most part. There are always, and will always be exception to this but this is the general rule.

We booked our cruise for 17-Dec-2005 in January 2005 and were told we could not get traditional dining seating "at this late date". Book now!
