Default Carry On Luggage

I was reading carry on luggage info from Carnival and it is stated that carryon must be 11 x 17 or less. I cruised in Jan on Carnival and used my carry on bag which is 15 x 17. It's a soft sided thing which I put meds, makeup, toiletries, etc. in. Can by mashed down. In all my flying and cruising never had a problem. Even the collapsible suitcase Carnival sells on board ship is bigger than 11 x 17. Should I be worried about trying to get this through or should I just try to find something smaller to put my stuff in?

If ou don't have trouble with what you have on the airlines, then you won't have a problem on the ship. They use the same thing as the airports.

What Luanne said. If it goes through the scanner you have no problems but if it does not you will be required to check it. They will not hand-check it.

The measurements are width, depth and length. The width and depth measurements aren't usually 11 x 17. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get thru the scanner so the length doesn't come into play.
