Not only am I a first time cruiser but this is the first vacation i've ever been on and i'm in my mid 20's. I really need some help regarding what clothing attire to pack and how much. I would love if you could provide me with an itemized listing of clothing that I might want to consider brining. I'm really excited but freaking out because I'm afraid I won't have enough or the appropriate clothing attire. HELP! I'll be on Carnival Conquest 8/7
You will need shorts and t-shirts for during the day, along with some swim suits. Then you will need a dark suit or tux (if you have it) for the formal evenings. The casual evenings you'll need some polo type shirts with collars and docker type pants. Just follow the dress code for the evening. They will leave you a paper that will list the following day's activities, including the dress for that evening.
You may want to read through the section here for "first cruise":
I can't see why Donna thinks you are a man, but maybe she knows!
I'd suggest that you check the Cruise Dress/Packing board on this site (and post your question there). You can find it by clicking "People" in the yellow stripe above your post.
IMO, the poster who knows the most about cruise packing is LisaK! She has answers on almost all the packing threads.
Just take her advice and you'll be fine.
Have a wonderful cruise!

Too funny, I actually don't know why I thought that, should of also included what the "
girls" wear....just wasn't thinking...If you click on the link, there are some good packing lists and ideas for everyone including kids.
Newbie, so sorry about listing the basic packing for the guys, you'll most likely have 21 formal nights, where you'd need a cocktail dress, fancy pants suit and the rest of the evenings will be casual, sundress, nice top and slacks, etc. Just read through the packing in the link I provided.
