I've read on other posts that you need to be 18 to go into the casino, is that the same on all ships? Aslo, I read at 18, they can only use the slot machines and not the tables, is that right?
My son was 18 on our last cruise and was allowed to be in the casino, but he was not allowed to gamble. He did try and the pit boss asked to see his id. Once he showed them, the pb said he was welcome to stay and observe, but not to gamble.
If you are underage and get a nice pot, the casino can and will refuse to pay the prize.
Convert is not quite right. Depends on the cruise line. On some cruise lines 18 and over ARE allowed in the casino, and ARE allowed to gamble.... though they aren't served alcohol.
My son is 18, and is looking forward to going in the casino. He was 17 in June, and they told him on the Ecstasy that he had to be 18. They did not tell him he could only do slots. Hope this helps.
On Carnival it is 18 for the casino and I don't believe there are any restrictions if you are 18, Luanne.
My 15 yo could care less about drinking, but DROOLS over the casino!
