I'm trying to find a public beach either on Paradise Island or Cable Beach that has restroom facilities and/or food and beverages, doesn't appear to be any. The hotels don't want visitors on their property, where can you go to just hang out at the beach for a few hours? I went to a public beach access area next to the RIU Hotel on Paradise Island but the climb up and down the hill was killer and there were absolutely no facilities there. Any suggestions?
I called Atlantis and they were adamant that there was no way we could purchase day passes to use their pool and beach. She said we could purchase tour tickets for The Dig but that's all and, of course, we were welcome to spend our money in their casino and restaurants.
Look into Cable Beach. All beaches are actually public in the Bahamas, it is the facilities (pools , chair etc) that most hotels do not want you using. If memory serves there are a few bars and restaurants along Cable Beach in between the hotels that would have facilities to use.
Breezes, an all inclusive, sells day passes to use all facilities including food and drink. (no kids under 16).
