PM'S Private?

How private are PM's? Can a CM staff read them too?

As the chief manager of CruiseMates LLC and moderator of the message boards I can vouch for what the staff says above. We do not currently have the ability to read your private messages.

However, there may be software tools available to allow us to do so, and may choose to install them someday, so I cannot personally, nor can CruiseMates LLC, guarantee or promise you complete privacy where our message board private messages are concerned. There may come a time when we decide it is in the best interest of ourselves, the general public and/or our readers to be able to read them.

Therefore, we do not recommend putting anything of a truly personal nature in your private messages.

However, please do rest assured we would never intentionally publish anything publicly that was meant to be relayed as a private message, especially if it was between two non-CruiseMates-affiliated posters. However (once again), it has been established that such communications may be subject to legitimate legal subpeonae requests and if so CruiseMates will be forced to comply.

Actually I was just curious. I don't write anything anywhere on any site that I think is totally private. I don't have anything to hide on these boards. The topic came up to me, so thought I would ask.
