Default Low salt diet onboard

I didn't get any responses on cuisine so will try it here.
I have requested a low salt diet and was told that this was a common request.
My question is how are they going to manage this when the food is mass produced? Has anyone out there asked for a low salt diet? If so, did you get it, and were you happy with it?

How they do it I am not sure but the fact is that they do. It is a common request so maybe they make a certain amount with low salt or have a low salt alternative.
