Default LAX/Long Beach Pre-cruise

Interested in taking a cruise out of Long Beach but flying into LAX.

Any info in getting from LAX to a pre-cruise hotel in Long Beach.

Distance, cost, hotel suggestions, etc.

I've flown into LAX and stayed in Long Beach prior to cruises twice. Both times have taken a shared ride van from LAX to my hotel either in San Pedro or Long Beach. Cost this last time was $16 per person for the shared ride van.

I've stayed at the Westin Long Beach and the Holiday Inn San Pedro - much preferred the Westin - close to the attractions in downtown Long Beach and really really nice beds!

See if you can fly into Long Beach Airport. American, Horizon, Jet Blue, Ameican West fly into Long Beach.

If your still stuck with using LAX, the cab is only five dollars more than the shuttle.

Are these where the Celebrity cruises go out of?

I'm doing a R/T Hawaii on the Summit next December and will fly into LA.

I would like to spend two days in LA pre-cruise. If I want to do some tours of LA, would it be better to just stay in a airport hotel? Then get a cab to take me to the port?

Any help would help.
