Priest On Board for Christmas?

One of my "board" friends and her husband want to go to mass on Christmas. (NCL Sun) Is there usually a priest on board?

I rather doubt it. What you really should do is contact NCL Special Services and see if they plan on having one onboard for that cruise.

Ferne.. I don't know for sure about NCL, but most of the cruise lines do carry a priest or minister during the holidays. There may be non denominational services, but they will have a service.

If there is not one on ours, we are planning on doing our own. I don;t think God would mind, do you?

No I don't think He'd mind at all!

I posted this question on the NCL boards, too, and Magnolia Blossom reminded me that there will be Catholic churches in port. I didn't even think of that !

We won't be in port on Christmas, but I think the day before or day after would be okay with Him, too.

Hi all,

I asked my TA to check this for me the next time she talked to her NCL contact. She e-mailed me today to say that her contact said there is a priest onboard for Mass on major holidays. I believe that Christmas would qualify as a major holiday!

Of course we can't be sure, but this is a good sign for those who are interested.

The only problem is I am not Catholic, but the message goes to the same guy doesn't it?

I personally don't think it matters at all as I believe it is all the same power no matter what you call him/her/it. Religions have much more in common than they differ. Either way, I think the message gets through.

Absolutely, Jim. I've visited Catholic churches several times with friends and am amazed at how familiar the services are!

I'm glad that my friends will probably be able to attend Mass on such an important day for them.
