Default Roatan, Honduras

I noticed that Roatan, is not a port for Norwegian Dream anymore. Does anyone know why, and are any ships sailing there?

Hi reverendjeff...

I don't know about NG, but I was just in Roatan in October on Carnival Valor...... if your going to plan a trip there, make sure you plan an excursion... there was nothing to do right off the ship.

Happy Cruising!

Don't know or sure. But I have heard NCL actually helped expand the dock so they could dock their ships. But this is what I heard. NOT sure it is fact.

According to NCL's website they still go to Roatan with the Dream and the Jewel. Below is whatIi found on their website.

"NCL wants Caribbean cruising to be closer and more affordable than ever before, that's why we are pleased to announce the return of our exciting 7-day Texaribbean cruises round-trip from the convenience of Houston, Texas. Discover the spectacular ports of Cozumel, Roatán, Belize and Cancun with their powder-soft beaches and glorious sunsets. This is one Caribbean cruise you can enjoy year-round that promises to be hot, hot, hot. Only NCL will take you to the Caribbean in a way no other cruise line can."

I also called NCL. The agent told me they have cruises leaving Houston 3/1, 3/18, 3/25 and during April which stop at Roatan.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Erin. IF you go to Roatan, book a tour. We walked about 3 blocks (in the rain) and there were local vendors there, but that's all! We went back to the ship pretty quickly!

That said, most of the tours were "beach things", so they wouldn't have been very good in the rain either!
