I love this question (it is very common) - I never understand what difference it makes "which" nights are formal - do you dress differently on a Tuesday than Wednesday? Maybe you have days of the week stitched into your "formal" underwear?
Not trying to be sarcastic - just amusing myself. The question really is "how many formal nights are there?" - right?
They are almost always the nights of days at sea. Day #2 is very common (Captain's welcome aboard night), and then day 5 or 6 (usually 6). 2 on a 7-day cruise, 3 on a 10-day cruise, 3 or 4 on a 12-day cruise, 4 on a 14-day cruise.
I do have "day of the week" underwear! How else would I know what day it is ?
"A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour."
Paul, thank you for the very funny response!! I enjoyed it.
I was wondering what nights are formal because one night we are going to the supper club to celebrate our 20th anniversary. I was hoping that night would not interfer with a formal night.....I am always looking for an excuse to dress up!!
