Does anyone know how this works? Here's the problem. I originally booked my first cruise for Mar. 20th,'06 for my 50th birthday with RCCL on the Grandeur of the Seas. No one at the time could go with me or wanted to, but I decided to go alone anyway. Last week my sister asked if there was still time, that she wanted to go with me, and could arrange the time off from work. I was excited as we will have a great time together. I got her on the same flight that I am on , and added her to my reservation on RCCL. All seemed set. I went to do our online check in yesterday, and I get a the following message:
This Reservation cannot be modified through this system as it contains multiple confirmed or waitlisted dining. Please contact our customer service to make any changes to this Reservation
I immediately got in touch with my TA, and she said it was because of the late addition of my sister and now she is on a Waiting List for the late seating dining time I picked. My TA has a lways been so helpful throughout this whole experience, and she said to call her the end of Feb. However, I am a bit nervous that my sister and I may not be dining together at the same time. Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I not be fretting so much over this?
Everyone here has always been so helpful, I just thought I would pose the problem and get some input.
If your TA is experienced she will make sure that your reservations are cross-referenced this will greatly increase the chances that your sister will be with you at dinner.
In the unlikely event you do not get the same dining time or even the same table assignment it isn't the end of the world. See the Dining Room Manager right after you board. They handle this all the time and there is a very good chance that he or she can make arrangements for you to be together. The Dining Room Manager or Maitre'd's location will be posted in your boarding directory that will be in your cabin when you board or you can ask at Guest Services.
Take care and don't let this worry you too much.

Thanks for the reply and info. I will keep it in mind and try not to be too concerned over it. I will leave it the hands of my TA. My main concern was that it won't let me do the online check-in. But that too, may be cleared up before sailing.
I will go back to worrying about the important thing!.lol.... what dress to wear on formal night, and more importantly..which shoes with it.. the black satin beaded or the silver strappy heels!
Maureen - I hope it all works out for you - I will keep my fingers crossed just in case.
When dh and I sailed on the Pride last year - we got our table assignments - and we were seated at opposite ends of the dining room - a glitch in the system somewhere lol. The maitre d' took care of it right away - in spite of dh's protests that he wanted to check out his tablemates first before he made any "committments". The dining room staff will bend over backwards to help you so stop worrying and enjoy your cruise!!!
Well I got the Doc's,Yoo hoo! Psyched about that!... Apparently they worked it out, however we are at the early seating for dinner, not the late seating I had previously picked. Oh well at least we are together.. Not sure if I can change to what I wanted, but its fine. Its the least of my worries!
All will be fine..we will have a great time!
Thanks for all the input.. I just can't wait to go.
