I have been gone much to long. Feels good to be back. I am jumping ship so to speak. I have sailed Carnival twice, thought I would try RCL Adventure of the Seas, leaving Oct 1 06 via San juan, southern carib. What should I expect? How will this cruise differ. Thanks
One big thing that you will see on a Voyager class ship (Adventure is one of them) is the number of "physical activities" that you will find. The Rock Climbing Wall, the Ice Skating Rink, The Roller Blading Track, Johnny Rockets and the Promenade Area. The ship itself is huge and you may love that.
These are great if you are active and the ship is very large. The activities will be similar. Some folks say that Carnival's activities are a bit more lively but that is somewhat a matter of personal preference.
In regard to the site: I'm glad to see you again and it's great to have you back.
I hope that other folks will pipe in on this thread and give you some more first hand information. I have sailed on Voyager and my only Carnival experience is on the Carnival Legend but there are others who have more experience on the larger Royal Caribbean ships and a wider experience with Carnival.

Gotta: We are glad to have you back! I just returned last week from Mariner of the Seas....I will be happy to answer any questions you might have concerning the Voyager Class of ships on RCL. I've not sailed with Carnival, so I cannot offer any comparisons.
