light weight luggage

What is the lightest weight luggage available that will hold up to the wear and tear of frquently flying. I always have trouble at airports with too much stuff for my cruises and the airports want to charge me a lot of money for being overweight. Any help?

For the last few years I've used the hard sided Samsonite Ultralights.

Found them to be excellent for the rigors of the gorrilas handling the luggage in transit, and amazed how light they are when empty.

I bought some new luggage a few years ago, very light weight and durable, Travel Pro...you may want to check into that, its also soft sided, so that also helps keep the weight down.

we have had great luck with our Boyt luggage. Its made from nylon cordura, lightweight soft-side and very durable.
