Hi

I was just wondering if there is a limit to how much luggage your allowed to take on a cruise.

No, the cruiselines don't limit the amount of luggage like the airlines do. Your carry-on though does have to meet certain requirements to fit through the scanners, very much the same as the airlines.

I don't know if there's a specific number of bags you can take...Princess says you can take "a reasonable amount of luggage carring your personal effects". The cabins can be small, but most bags will fit either in the closet or under the bed.

Every cruise, I try to take less than the one before it , but I always end up packing a few things that I never wear. I know some people refuse to do laundry while on vacation, but I do use the self-serve laundromat on Princess. That way, I can pack less. Bring clothes that you can mix & match.

I think it's something like 200 lbs. per person - way too much luggage IMO - can't imagine anyone bringing that much.

Thank you for your replys the only thing is, is that princess has told us to have all our wedding stuff as carrie ons so what do we do when it comes to the wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses we won't be able to put them through the scanner.

You might be able to get decent wedding dress storage bags from a dry cleaner. I've seen people carrying them on like that before.

Hi wishbone2006,

Congratulations on your marriage!

As NanaShrek said, put all of your wedding "stuff" in a garment bag. They can go through the carry-on scanner. They may be "squished" for about 30 seconds, but they will fit through the scanner!

Have a wonderful wedding and a wonderful cruise!
