Default Balcony Guarantee

First time for us a balcony and doing the guarantee thing. Now I am nervous, but not too late to change and get exact cabin except for more $$. This would be on the Destiny. Rep sounded like we would end up with a pretty good cabin, but I don't want stuck somewhere where I hear about horror stories. How are the balconies on the Destiny, any rooms I should be concerned about? Thanks.

You already know the trade off. Cheaper price means a gamble on the room. We always book a guarantee to save the $$ but have been placed in a room which was not as good as some others. But we just go with the flow.

Thomas

You do run the risk of getting a cabin on a deck that you would prefer not to be on, or a cabin in a less than desireble location, however balcony cabins in general are in pretty good locations. Its up to you really.

ive booked a balcony room with a garuntee... im not quite sure as to how this works.. I know im garunteed to get a balconoy but if there is an open upgraded room available they will upgrade us.. is this a smart idea? it's not my travel agent im dealing with because my girlfriend and I arent old enough to book a room. Should I call the agent and change this so we can choose where our room will be located.. it's been explained to me that I wont know where we are until we get on the ship.. if it only costs a little more to know where my room will be it may just be worth it.

we always book Balcony Guarantee and always get upgraded to the highest level with larger cabin & extended balconies. if you work with a cruise agent and not with any old person who answers the phone, the agent will always get you the best deal possible. They have same or lower prices and perks with their hi volume consignment reservation history.

We have booked a guarantee balcony for our cruise in June, did the thing with buying a gift and found out our room. Seems to be nice. On the Lido deck, 9264. I seem pleased. Have not got docs yet to confirm may even be upgraded some more!! I don't know what else they can do but a suite.
