Hello everyone!
First i would like to thank everyone for these message boards I've learned alot and ya'll have really made me look forward to going on my first cruise
Ok here we go, I just found out that my parents are buying me and my soon to be wife a cruise for our honeymoon. We sail on July 16th out of galveston, TX. We sail on the Carnival Conquest, and have a balcony room at the very rear of the empress deck (th one with the wrap around balcony).
We are thinking of scheduleing stingray city in the caymans, white water rafting in montego bay, and honestly we have no idea what to do in Cozumel.... We wanted to go see the mayan ruins but she wants to shop and such and we were afraid that we may not have time for both.
This being the first time either of us have ever been on a cruise I was wondering what kind of expenses i should be looking for on ship that i havent heard about already. The folks are taking care of the auto tip, ive heard about the fees for cokes and specialty dining, and of course the expensive alcohol (which unfourtunatly we will more than likely be partaking in great quantities of my Fiancee just turned 21) am i missing anything?
Any suggestions, tips on saveing money, shore excursion advice, or just general comments on what we should do before and during the cruise would be much appriciated. Also if any of you are going to be on that cruise wed love to meet some couples to do some of this stuff with!
