DVD COMPATIBLE

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE TV'S ARE DVD COMPATIBLE ON THE CARN GLORY, WE HAVE DVD'S FOR OUR BABY TO WATCH

I'm not sure if the TV's are DVD compatible, but you can always take along a mini DVD player.

I believe none of the TV's on Carnival lines are compatible with VCR, DVD, Nintendo, Video games, etc. I don't think they are equipped with any input/output (audio/video) coaxial stems. I read this info on the FAQ section regarding restrictions on items brought on board. We have a portable DVD player with battery pack and DC adapter. You can buy them now for under $100. (with components in box) either at Best Buy, Circuit City, Amazon.com, etc. There will be tons of sales next weekend Memorial Day....check the websites.

Carnival Miracle TV had inputs

I am not sure if all rooms had the same tv, but April 06 Carnival Miracle TV in Cat 11 had tv input jacks. We were able to have my son play those battery powered $20 atari games with RCA cables attached.

I also agree with portable DVD player idea. Where the TV's are placed, it is unlikely a young baby could see the TV well.

Of course the easiest & most assured answer is to take along a portable fully self-contained DVD player. Many laptop computers can also play DVD movies. But as I have an eye for most things AV I have noticed that most cabin TVs on most ships DO have AV inputs in the front so you can plug in your camcorder, a dvd player or a lot of other things. I remember playing back my camcorder on the TV on Pride of Aloha last year.
