Default disembarkation/departing flight

Please help! We are booked on the Pearl for next March and our itinerary says we will dock in Miami at noon. I made our departing flight out of Miami airport at 2:40, and now I find out that disembarkation starts 2 hours after docking!!! Should I change the flight, or do they let you off early if you need to catch a flight? All other flights are much later and we have kids to get home to. Advice please..... Thanks!

This is really a hard question to answer. The reason for the noon arrival is because your last port is Tortola and it is quite a distance back to Miami from there. You may well arrive in Miami before noon but it is also possible that the ship may arrive late.

If they hold to that schedule a 2:40 p.m. flight will be tight or missed. If they arrive early you will curse having changed it. If it was me I would change it. I would rather spend a couple of hours at the airport rather than having to worry about missing the flight.

Take care,

that is cutting it really close. I would book a later flight. You can take a post cruise excursion to give you something to do besides hanging around at the airport.

i agree. even if you were to get off the ship at eleven, you would be cutting it real close by the time you got your luggage, got your taxi/bus, got to the airport, etc. i would change it and maybe think about doing one of the post-cruise tours of miami offered by the ship. they will carry your luggage for you and drop you right off at the airport when you're done! have fun, ncl is a wonderful cruise line.
