We are cruising on NCL Star to Alaska in Aug end with our 18 month old twins. I was wondering if a double stroller (side-by-side) would be OK to take. Would it fit thru the hallways? And go thru the room door?
Also, are toddlers allowed in the kid pool with the Swimmer diapers? NCL Star does have a seperate kid pool..so I would think that they allow toddlers.
There are no cruiselines that allow untrained children in "swimmies" in their pools - including kids' pools - this is a CDC regulation and not one of the cruiselines. I know that Disney has a "pool" (one if Mickey's ears) for toddlers in swimmies, but this is more of a "spray" type area rather than a pool per se.
A double-wide stroller will not fit through the hallways (or the doorways, for that matter - in fact, only the handicapped cabins have wide enough doorways for even a wheelchair to fit through). The hallways are quite narrow and when the stewards' utility carts are present, even a regular stroller is difficult to get past. Think about bringing two umbrella type strollers instead.
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall

What gerif said. Side by side strollers are just not going to work on a ship! Too wide!! Won't fit through doorways, will have a lot of trouble with elevators. If you must bring a double stroller, consider an umbrella type stroller that can be hooked together one behind the other. If that can't be done, then two seperate umbrella type strollers for the kids.
No swimmies allowed in any of the pools onboard. Just one little accident and the pools are closed for everyone! On another board people are recommending taking a very small inflatable pool that can fit in the bottom of the shower also, can fill it up and empty it easily and no one but your kids will be in it.
